Khansaheb named National Winner at MEED Project Awards 2022

Khansaheb Civil Engineering has been named a National Winner in the ‘Social Infrastructure Project of the year’ category of the MEED project Awards 2022 for its works at the University of Birmingham Dubai Campus.


 
Khansaheb Civil Engineering has been named a National Winner in the ‘Social Infrastructure Project of the year’ category of the MEED project Awards 2022 for its works at the University of Birmingham Dubai Campus.

The awards, hosted by MEED in association with Mashreq, recognise the beset projects completed in the past 12 months in 10 Mena states.  National winners were chosen by an independent jury comprising of representatives from each country. The winners successfully demonstrated excellence in technological innovation, engineering excellence and commitment to sustainable practices.

Khansaheb’s University of Birmingham project was awarded the ‘ Social Infrastructure Project of the Year’ award. Designed by Hopkins Architects and built by Khansaheb, the buildings overlook parkland and natural spaces. They reflect the ‘green heart’ of the University’s campus in Birmingham, giving the student community a complete campus university experience.

Opened in April 2022, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the campus marks the next stage in the University’s long-term commitment to supporting the position of Dubai as a regional hub for world-class higher education.
